Get ready, Trainers — Pokémon GO City Safari is heading to Sydney! On December 13 and 14, 2025, the Harbour City will host Australia’s very first City Safari, transforming iconic landmarks and hidden corners into a real-world Pokémon adventure.
During this exciting two-day event, Pokémon GO players will have the chance to encounter rare and region-exclusive Pokémon while exploring Sydney’s vibrant streets, parks, and waterfronts. Special research tasks, themed Field Research, and exclusive rewards will be available, making this an unmissable opportunity for both seasoned Trainers and newcomers alike.
Whether you’re strolling through Circular Quay, relaxing in the Royal Botanic Garden, or catching Pokémon by the Sydney Opera House, the City Safari promises a unique way to experience the city. Gather your friends, charge your devices, and get ready to embark on an unforgettable Pokémon adventure — Sydney style!
Before we get into it…let me share the important event details:
LOCATION: Sydney, Australia
DATE: Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, 2025
TIME: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. AEDT
TICKET PRICE: AUD$19 (including applicable taxes and fees) which are available via the City Safari website
Trainers can purchase a one-day ticket (AUD$19) or upgrade with the Extra Day Add-On (AUD$14) for
both days of adventure. Tickets are first come, first served and are nonrefundable
GO Stamp Rally
Sydney’s City Safari will feature a Pokémon GO Stamp Rally across the following landmarks and iconic
locations. By visiting participating PokéStops and spinning your Photo Discs, you can collect up to eight stamps, each awarding an
encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat!

● Sydney City Centre
● Royal Botanic Gardens
● Circular Quay
● Milsons Point
● Manly Beach
● Centennial Park
Special Pokémon Encounters
Sydney’s streets will come alive with event-themed Pokémon throughout the city, including Mudbray, the
Donkey Pokémon, exclusive to City Safari 2025 events. Additionally, special Pokémon will appear across
Sydney during the event. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
How to Purchase Pokémon GO Tickets
Tickets are available via the Pokémon GO app:
- In Map View, tap the Main Menu → Events.
- Select Pokémon GO City Safari: Sydney.
- Choose your date, add-ons, or gift tickets to friends.
- Complete payment and keep your confirmation email.
To gift a ticket, you must be Great Friends or higher with the recipient. All tickets purchased in one
order must be for the same date and time.
