Secret Pro: 3D Dermal Remodelling For An Inner Glow

Secret Pro: 3D Dermal Remodelling For An Inner Glow

Dear smartphones and robotic vacuum cleaners. Beauty has entered the tech chat by way of Secret Pro – a transformative treatment that doesn’t just treat the surface of the skin; it works from the top layer to the deepest dermis, orchestrating a rejuvenation that is both sophisticated and precise. For those who care about results that are as subtle as they are remarkable, Secret Pro is a revelation.

At the heart of Secret Pro is the seamless combination of fractional CO₂ laser and RF micro-needling, creating what experts call “3D dermal remodelling.” As Tracey Vo – Cutera Clinical Manager NSW explains, “Fractional CO₂ Laser delivers precise ablative energy to the skin, creating microscopic ‘channels’ or treatment zones while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This speeds healing and resurfaces the layers of the skin. Settings are customisable to concerns and depth of where the indication sits in the skin.

Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling utilises ultra-fine, gold-plated needles (semi‑insulated or non‑insulated) to penetrate the dermis, delivering radiofrequency (heat) energy to deeper layers. This induces thermal injury, collagen contraction, and remodeling. Together, they treat both the top layers and deeper dermis in one session, offering 3D dermal remodeling that’s more effective and efficient than using either technology separately.”

At a cellular level, Secret Pro is extraordinary. The CO₂ laser gently resurfaces damaged cells, triggering fibroblasts in the upper dermis to produce collagen, while the microneedles deliver targeted RF energy deeper in the dermis, prompting collagen and elastin to reorganise and regenerate. “Existing collagen contracts and new collagen/elastin fibers are laid down; angiogenesis and hyaluronic acid production also increase, improving hydration, texture, and tensile properties of skin,” says Tracey. This dual-layer stimulation ensures that skin isn’t just superficially smoother – its structure, elasticity, and hydration improve over time, leaving a complexion that is firmer, luminous, and resilient.

Secret Pro’s versatility is another hallmark. The device offers four signature modes – Refine, Ultra-Light, Ultra, and Revive – designed to address a spectrum of skin concerns while accommodating different tolerance levels and downtime. Refine focuses on deeper dermal remodelling for fine lines, pores, texture, and laxity, while Ultra-Light provides gentle epidermal resurfacing, ideal for sun damage and skin texture with minimal downtime. Ultra delivers deeper resurfacing for significant textural and collagen atrophy, with longer healing, and Revive combines RF and CO₂ for complex concerns such as scars, deep wrinkles, or stretch marks.

“Secret Pro stands out for its safety and versatility. It’s the first dual system to induce collagen regeneration from both the top-down and bottom-up, offering ‘3D dermal remodeling’. Gold-plated, semi-insulated needles are safer, and suitable across all skin types, including darker tones, minimising risk of hyperpigmentation. Its high customisability allows practitioners to precisely adjust depth, energy, scan patterns, and modality to match individual skin needs and tolerance, reducing overtreatment risk. Ablative damage zones are fractional, so healing is faster than traditional CO₂ lasers. Reducing the chance of infection and lower risk of adverse responses. This is a huge evolution for CO₂ lasers,” notes Tracey.

Technology enthusiasts will appreciate the precision engineered into every detail. Therapists can adjust the needle depth from 0.5 to 3.5 mm, select pin configurations for tailored coverage, modify CO₂ scan patterns for surface area and intensity, and finely modulate RF energy for comfort and efficacy. “These precision features ensure every treatment is adapted, whether the goal is quick turnover with minimal downtime, or deeper remodelling for scars and wrinkles,” says Tracey. The treatment prioritises patient comfort, delivering a luxurious, controlled experience while maintaining effective results.

Secret Pro is more than science – it’s a sensorial experience. There is a certain luxury in knowing that advanced technology is orchestrating your skin’s renewal with invisible precision, leaving behind a complexion that feels soft, firm, and radiant. The dual-layer approach stimulates collagen and elastin in a way that is long-lasting, ensuring results continue to improve in the months following treatment.

For anyone captivated by the intersection of beauty and technology, Secret Pro is a glimpse into the future of facial treatments. It demonstrates that scientific innovation and indulgent experience can coexist beautifully, creating skin that is luminous, resilient, and unmistakably elegant. It’s a celebration of what modern technology can achieve, transforming the ritual of skincare into an experience that is both aspirational and deeply effective.

Spotify’s New Feature Is a Win for Multi-Product Creators — If You’re Ready to Use It

Spotify’s New Feature Is a Win for Multi-Product Creators — If You’re Ready to Use It

Spotify just rolled out a new creator tool — and while it might seem like a small tweak, it has big implications for creators with digital products or collaborators in their ecosystem.

Here’s the update in a nutshell:
Creators can now use the “In This Episode” section on Spotify to link directly to other content on the platform — from their own podcast episodes, to songs, audiobooks, playlists, and (here’s where it gets juicy)… content from other creators.

So what does that mean for you?

This isn’t just a feature. It’s a revenue opportunity.

If you’ve got digital products — a course, a downloadable guide, a journal, even a playlist tied to your brand — you now have a powerful new way to drive traffic to those assets from right inside your episode page.

Creators are no longer locked into a single episode with a single purpose. Now, each episode becomes a gateway to more. More of your content. More of your ideas. More of your offers.

And if you don’t yet have your own digital products? This is your sign to start.

Why it matters for your creator business

Spotify is signalling something that every smart creator should pay attention to: diversification is power.

The ability to recommend and promote multiple forms of content helps:

  • Boost your discoverability
  • Extend audience engagement beyond a single listen
  • Cross-promote products and partners more fluidly
  • Strengthen your positioning as a brand, not just a broadcaster

You’re no longer just “putting out an episode” — you’re building a content ecosystem.

Not ready? Here’s what to do next.

If you don’t have your own suite of digital products yet, don’t panic — but don’t sit idle either.

✅ Start by recommending a fellow creator you admire. Use your Spotify links to lift others while you build your own ecosystem. (We love to see creators collaborating — this is how you create legacy, not just likes.)

✅ Or, better yet, start creating. Build the asset you wish existed.

Spotify’s change is just one of many coming down the pipeline — and the creators who win are the ones ready to adapt, monetize, and move intentionally.

The question isn’t if your audience wants more from you. It’s: what will you offer them when they ask?

Let’s build the answer — together.

We Found Australia’s First Online Warehouse Sale Platform

We Found Australia’s First Online Warehouse Sale Platform

Raise your hand if you love scoring a designer deal, but dread the chaos of traditional warehouse sales – the long lines, the pushy crowds, the very real threat of a fellow bargain hunter breaking your toes in an attempt to grab that last neon green Bec and Bridge skirt off the rack. (Just me?) Well, breathe easy, fashion lovers, because Sydney-based fashion-tech startup Lastlook has just turned the warehouse sale experience on its head… and made it 100% online.

Launching this September, Lastlook is Australia’s first online warehouse sale platform, serving up premium Aussie brands at jaw-dropping discounts – up to 90% off – without the stress, the sweat, or the stampede. Think of it as your VIP backstage pass to all the hottest fashion drops, delivered straight to your screen. And minus the mad dash for the last pair of skinny leg jeans. (No. They are not out of style. And yes. This is a hill I will die on).

Founder Josh Lever spotted the gap instantly. “Young Australians find physical warehouse sales chaotic, messy and exclusive to those who can show up in person. We thought – why not bring the same experience online?” And honestly, with the cost-of-living squeeze making every dollar count, who wouldn’t love a fuss-free way to shop luxe labels without the sticker shock?

The platform is invite-only, curated, and perfectly in tune with Gen Z and Millennial vibes. Lastlook has already scored two huge hits – launching with Ellore, the rising star of Aussie womenswear, and most recently collabing with cult denim brand One Teaspoon. Both events offered 48-hour-only deals that had shoppers clicking “add to cart” faster than you can say “sold out.” It’s a diamond in the rough moment for every fashion hunter.

What makes Lastlook a total cool kid download isn’t just the convenience – it’s the whole experience. Forget crowded sheds and elbowing strangers; this is warehouse sale chic meets Instagram-ready ease. Every sale is limited-time, curated, and exclusive, giving that coveted “insider” energy, without ever leaving your lounge room. Bonus points – it’s more sustainable too, cutting down on the chaos, waste, and energy costs of traditional sales. Who knew saving the planet could come with a side of killer discounts?

And while women’s fashion is the current focus, Lastlook is already eyeing menswear and other categories, making it a digital playground for every style-hungry, value-conscious Aussie. It’s the ultimate fashion flex – look luxe, spend less.

If you’re ready to upgrade your sale-shopping game, it’s time to join the waitlist. Lastlook isn’t just reinventing warehouse sales – it’s giving them a full glow-up for the digital generation. Exclusive, effortless, and utterly irresistible, it’s proof you can have style, sustainability, and savings all in one sleek online package, that makes your wallet and wardrobe very happy. Four Attachments, 20,000 Crystals and 0% Heat Damage: Everything We Love About This Limited Edition Hair Dryer

Four Attachments, 20,000 Crystals and 0% Heat Damage: Everything We Love About This Limited Edition Hair Dryer

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. And now they might just be your hair’s BFF too – with the Limited Edition Diamond Shark FlexStyle delivering the brand’s most glamorous gadget to date: a sparkling multitasking hairdryer-meets-styler that’s been given a jaw-dropping glow-up with more than 20,000 hand-applied crystals. Consider it the crown jewel of your beauty kit — one that’s just as powerful as it is pretty.

Those who love a bougie on a budget beauty buy will already by familiar with classic Shark FlexStyle. And, the best bit of this sparkly sibling it that Shark’s signature technology hasn’t gone anywhere. The Frosted Diamond FlexStyle still uses intelligent heat control to measure and regulate temperature, meaning your hair is never exposed to excessive heat. That means 0% heat damage – a stat that’s music to anyone’s split-end-prone ears. Plus, at just 700g, it’s surprisingly lightweight, so you can get a salon-worthy blowout without the arm workout.

However, what really sets this edition apart is how effortlessly it elevates your everyday routine. Sitting pretty on your bathroom shelf, it’s part luxury styling tool, part vanity centrepiece — the kind of thing you want to leave out on display rather than stash in a drawer. And with a sleek leather-look travel case included, it’s also ready to go wherever you do. Because why shouldn’t your hair routine shine bright like a diamond too. After all, it’s what Rihanna would do.

A whole salon in one sparkly tool

It might look like a keep-it-in-the-beauty-cabinent collector’s item, but the Frosted Diamond Sparkle FlexStyle is all business when it comes to styling. Included in the box are four pro-grade attachments that give you total control over your look, no matter your hair type or texture.

  • Auto-Wrap Curlers. Using Shark’s signature Coanda Technology, these curlers wrap and set strands automatically, creating soft, bouncy curls or glamorous waves without the arm gymnastics.
  • Oval Brush. Adds instant lift, volume and bounce while smoothing frizz and flyaways — basically a salon blow-dry in one step.
  • Paddle Brush. Detangles and straightens while boosting shine (versus air drying), thanks to a clever combo of boar and nylon bristles.
  • Styling Concentrator. A rotatable nozzle that lets you control airflow angle with precision, making sleek, smooth blowouts easier than ever.

And, because Shark Beauty knows curls deserve their moment too, the set also includes a curl-defining diffuser with extendable prongs to evenly dry curls from root to tip, plus a non-slip heat pad for safe cooldowns.

Luxury meets low effort

If you’re someone who loves experimenting with hairstyles but hates juggling multiple tools (or spending hours in front of the mirror), this is your dream machine. Whether you’re creating voluminous 90s blowouts, effortless beachy waves, polished straight styles or defined curls, the Frosted Diamond Sparkle FlexStyle lets you do it all — and all while you dry.

Obviously, the aesthetics don’t hurt either. There’s something deeply satisfying about watching your hair transform while holding a tool that looks like it belongs on a red carpet. The shimmering exterior isn’t just for show — it turns your everyday routine into a little luxury ritual. After all, your styling tool should sparkle under pressure just as much as you do.

For all hairkind

True to Shark Beauty’s ethos, this tool is designed for every hair type, every skill level, and every styling preference. Whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly or coily, the technology adapts to your texture, delivering smooth, shiny, healthy-looking results without compromise.

And, while the Frosted Diamond Sparkle edition is the most luxurious FlexStyle yet, it hasn’t lost sight of what made the original a fan favourite: power, precision, versatility and — most importantly — hair health.

So, if you’ve ever dreamed of turning your hair routine into a daily dose of glamour, this is your sign. With its sparkling crystal finish, salon-level styling power and zero heat damage promise, the Shark FlexStyle Frosted Diamond Sparkle isn’t just a beauty tool. It’s forever. Ahem, like a diamond.

The limited-edition model is available at sharkbeauty.com.au and selected retailers for $599.99 RRP. But, be warned! With only a limited number of units available, this glittering styling superstar won’t stay on shelves for long.

This Hair Dryer Uses AI to Upgrade Your Blow Dry … And Frankly We Think It’s Brilliant

This Hair Dryer Uses AI to Upgrade Your Blow Dry … And Frankly We Think It’s Brilliant

If you still think a hair dryer’s job begins and ends with blasting out hot air, you’ve probably never met the Mova Shine 20 – an intelligent styling system that blends speed, safety, and science into one sleek, minimalist device. Designed with families, sensitive scalps, and hair health in mind – and drawing on the ever evolving powers of AI – it aims to prove you don’t have to choose between powerful performance and gentle care.

Why the Mova Shine 20 is smarter than your average dryer

At the heart of the Shine 20 is a sophisticated network of sensors and smart features built to protect your hair while delivering fast, professional results. A Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor – a type of AI powered scalp care – constantly monitors the airflow temperature and keeps it at a scalp-friendly 55 °C – warm enough to dry efficiently, but never so hot that it risks damaging your roots or stripping moisture.

Then there’s Mova’s AeroBlossom airflow system, which disperses heat evenly and gently, so every strand dries consistently without those annoying hot spots. And if you’ve ever struggled with complicated settings, you’ll love the built-in nozzle recognition. The dryer automatically adjusts airflow and heat depending on the attachment you’re using – whether that’s the volumising comb for extra lift, the classic concentrator for precision styling, or the kid-safe nozzle for delicate scalps.

The tech doesn’t stop there. The Shine 20’s plasma ion generator releases an impressive 300 million ions during use, working to seal in hydration, smooth frizz, and even neutralise odours – a subtle but welcome touch if you’re styling after a gym session or in humid weather. Meanwhile, its high-speed brushless motor delivers impressive airflow power, while temperature sensors check the heat 1,000 times per second, keeping things consistent and controlled.

Real world results

All that innovation isn’t just for show – it makes a tangible difference. Drying times are noticeably faster thanks to the motor’s power and airflow design, but without the scorching heat that usually comes with it. Even thicker, longer hair (ahem, mine) dries in minutes, while shorter styles can be ready in well under a minute.

Shiny, hydrated, salon-fresh hair – without the heat damage. With TOF Precise Heat Control, Mova Shine 20 keeps airflow at a safe 55 °C to lock in moisture, protect your scalp barrier, and leave hair looking glossy and healthy. Paired with AeroBlossom airflow tech, drying is smoother, quieter (just 58 dB!) and more even – no hot spots, no discomfort, just effortless shine.

The temperature control and ion technology also mean hair feels softer and smoother after styling, rather than brittle or “crispy” from overexposure to heat. And because the dryer is constantly adjusting itself to your chosen nozzle, you don’t have to fiddle with settings mid-blow-dry – it’s refreshingly hands-off.

Perhaps best of all, it’s a genuinely family-friendly device. The kid-safe nozzle delivers a soft, low-temperature airflow that’s perfect for children, while the gentle mode is ideal for fine, fragile hair. Even pets can benefit from the adjustable settings – yes, the Shine 20 is that versatile.

Mova Shine 20

The pros and cons

What’s great:

  • Damage defence: Consistent temperature regulation and ion care help maintain hair health over time.
  • Customised styling: Automatic nozzle recognition tailors performance to different needs.
  • Speed and power: The motor dries hair quickly without resorting to excessive heat.
  • Universal appeal: Works beautifully for adults, children, and even pets.
  • Frizz-free finish: The ion technology noticeably boosts smoothness and shine.

What to consider:

  • Premium price: At $449, it’s an investment – though one that pays off if you style regularly.
  • Attachment-reliant: To get the full benefit, you’ll want to use the different nozzles rather than sticking to one.
  • Slight learning curve: The smart features are intuitive, but first-time users might need a session or two to get familiar.

Final Verdict

By merging precision engineering with protective technology, the Mova Shine 20 makes daily blow-dries faster, safer, and significantly more effective. If you’re serious about keeping your hair healthy while still achieving that salon-fresh finish, this is one of the most advanced dryers on the market right now.

Yes, it’s a splurge. But if you blow-dry often, share styling duties with family members, or have hair that’s prone to damage, the Shine 20 earns its place as a long-term investment in the health and beauty of your hair.

Why is There a Victoria’s Secret Bra on the Sydney Harbour Bridge?

Why is There a Victoria’s Secret Bra on the Sydney Harbour Bridge?

Victoria’s Secret has just taken its signature push-up power from the lingerie drawer to the digital skyline, proving that it can raise the tech bar just as well as your breasts! To celebrate the fashionable launch of its brand-new Australian e-commerce platform, www.victoriassecret.com.au, the lingerie giant has gone full throttle into Computer Generated Imagery – dropping a Victoria’s Secret CGI Campaign so real it’s practically bursting out of its balconette.

Think the Sydney Opera House, but make it Bombshell. Picture the Melbourne skyline wrapped in lace. Imagine the Perth cityscape, but with a supersized pink bra perched where a skyscraper should be. Yep. Victoria’s Secret has transformed some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks into larger-than-life stages for its most recognisable products, and the results are as surreal as they are scroll-stopping. It’s part marketing stunt, part digital art installation — and all very Instagrammable, with the CGI activations going live across Victoria’s Secret’s social channels.

This isn’t just a pretty (virtual) face, though. It’s a strategic move that blends fantasy with familiarity, and cements Victoria’s Secret among the ranks of luxury fashion players like Jacquemus and beauty giants like Maybelline — brands that have embraced hyperreal CGI to dominate timelines, spark conversation, and blur the line between real life and digital fantasy. And, it’s a sign of where the industry is heading: fashion campaigns are no longer just about glossy photoshoots and billboards. They’re about creating moments so bold, so unexpected, and so ‘I need to screenshot this now’ that they take on a life of their own.

But behind all that spectacle lies the real headline: for the first time ever, Australian customers can now shop Victoria’s Secret’s full universe — lingerie, sleepwear, loungewear, beauty, and more — online and in one place. The new e-commerce site brings the brand’s signature sparkle to your screen, complete with local perks like virtual bra fittings (goodbye, awkward changing-room lighting), fragrance match tools, exclusive online-only drops, easy returns, and fast domestic delivery. Translation: you can now upgrade your underwear drawer without leaving the couch.

And if you still prefer a little IRL lingerie browsing, the good news is that alongside existing flagship stores in Chadstone, Emporium, Highpoint, and Pacific Fair, Victoria’s Secret is expanding its bricks-and-mortar footprint with new boutiques popping up across Melbourne Central, Southland, Fountain Gate, Sydney, Brisbane’s North Lakes and Mt Gravatt, and Perth’s Karrinyup. It’s a nationwide takeover. Online and off.

What makes this CGI campaign particularly fun is how Aussie it feels. There’s something delightfully tongue-in-cheek about seeing lingerie towering over the Opera House or a perfume bottle glistening on Sydney Harbour — a cheeky wink to the brand’s global glamour while nodding to our own backyard. It’s nostalgic and futuristic all at once, and proof that Victoria’s Secret knows exactly how to make a splash in a market that’s as fashion-savvy as it is social-media obsessed.

The message is clear: this isn’t just about bras and briefs anymore. It’s about building a brand universe that’s playful, immersive, and impossible to ignore. So, whether you’re here for the digital drama, the dreamy lace, or the chance to shop your favourites from your sofa, one thing’s for sure — Victoria’s Secret’s latest stunt has paired pushups with pixels and lifted the game for fashion campaigns everywhere.

Predicting the Future: Richelle Nicols on Data That Makes a Difference

Predicting the Future: Richelle Nicols on Data That Makes a Difference

For Richelle Nicols, data is more than numbers — it’s a roadmap to better decisions and better lives. As CEO of Nicco Global, she’s harnessing granular, predictive intelligence to transform industries and empower healthcare providers to act earlier, smarter, and with greater precision. Here, Richelle shares how her tech-driven vision is shaping a future where data doesn’t just describe the world — it helps improve it.

Q: Data has been called the “new oil.” How do you see Nicco redefining the way organisations use data?
A: Data is absolutely paramount — not just for engaging customers or understanding industries, but for building the ability to predict. If you can anticipate how and when something will impact your business or your customers, you unlock enormous efficiency: cost savings, resource redirection, and smarter decision-making. But to do that, you need granularity — the micro-signals that are often ignored. At Nicco, that’s exactly the data we focus on, and the basis of the intelligence we are building. It’s this layer of detail that transforms data from descriptive to predictive — and that’s where the real competitive advantage lies.

Q: What makes granular data so powerful compared to traditional approaches?
A: Traditional data gives you averages. Granular data gives you the ability to understand the “n of 1” — the individual unit of behaviour, decision, or signal. At Nicco, we start at that micro-level and then build outward, grouping others based on true likeness rather than broad demographics. In effect, we’re reverse-engineering intelligence: using the individual as the foundation for discovering patterns and causal relationships that never appear in aggregate dashboards. That’s what delivers precision at scale — insights that are both deeply personal and commercially transformative.

Q: How do you see Nicco’s technology being applied across industries?
A: Granular data intelligence is universally valuable, because every sector benefits from understanding people more deeply and predicting outcomes with greater precision. Nicco has the ability to extend across multiple industries — from sport and consumer products to property and beyond. For me personally, healthcare is a huge driver. I believe there is enormous impact to be made in supporting patients, providers, and systems with data that can reveal early indicators and improve decision-making at every level. That combination — broad applicability with a strong focus on healthcare, where the work contributes to helping providers and systems help people — is what makes this mission so meaningful to me and my team.

Q: What creates real competitive advantage when it comes to data?
A: Real advantage doesn’t come from the sheer volume of data — it comes from the source and the structure. First, the source: is it captured directly from your customer or patient, and is there enough breadth and repetition to build a reliable pattern or connect them to others with similar traits? Second, the structure: is the data engineered to be predictive rather than just descriptive? At Nicco, we focus on both — capturing primary-source data and shaping it into models that identify emerging archetypes. Over time, the repetition sharpens the signal, the archetypes become more precise, and the intelligence more predictive. That’s how you scale — learning from one, then anticipating the needs of others who are similar.

Q: As a CEO, how do you personally lead in such a fast-moving, tech-driven environment?
A: For me it comes down to three anchors: Safety builds trust. Clarity builds purpose. Balance builds longevity.

Safety unlocks performance: when people feel secure, they stop wasting energy on self-protection and can channel it into creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Clarity comes from keeping Nicco’s North Star front of mind — using data to understand and support people better than ever before, but always in a way that is ethical and sustainable. I measure every decision against that goal. And balance, because building extraordinary products and companies should never come at the cost of exhausting the people behind them.

Q: What’s next for Nicco and the role of data in shaping the future?
A: Right now, we’re laser-focused on healthcare in the U.S., where the opportunity to apply granular, predictive data is enormous. We’re working closely with people and partners there to build a future where early indicators of conditions can be identified years in advance, giving individuals and providers the ability to act sooner and smarter. That’s our immediate priority — but the broader mission remains the same: to power a layer of intelligence that quietly shapes better outcomes across health, business, and society, and in doing so, make a profound difference in people’s lives.

Richelle Nicols is the founder and CEO of Nicco Global, a technology company pioneering new ways of using granular data to build learning and predictive intelligence. She has led ventures across multi-industry tech, data analytics, and now health intelligence. Today, she is scaling Nicco internationally — establishing a U.S. presence and collaborating with major players — while leveraging her entrepreneurial experience to turn ideas into investible companies. Richelle also leads Pollinatr an early-stage investment fund and venture studio, guiding founders with the methodologies she has developed over nearly a decade in the start-up space.

Everything You Need to Know About Apple’s Latest Drop

Everything You Need to Know About Apple’s Latest Drop

September isn’t just about Spring blooms or pumpkin spice (depending on where you live). It’s also when Apple drops its yearly updates and devotees of the world’s most famous fruit know what’s coming … shiny new toys, sleeker designs, and enough features to make you reconsider whether your current phone is really still doing the job. As per script, Apple has done it again. Except, this time around, they’re not just giving us new gadgets, but everyday upgrades that feel designed to slot seamlessly into how we live, work, stream, text, and scroll.

To start, the iPhone Air. has pulled another “thinner and lighter” rabbit out of its hat. Imagine your regular iPhone put through a Pilates program – this thing is sleek. You’ll barely notice it in your pocket or bag, which could be equal parts blessing and curse (seriously, double-check the couch cushions before panicking that you’ve lost it). Despite its featherweight feel, the iPhone Air isn’t delicate. It offers up to 27 hours of video playback, a sharper camera, and that all-important fast charge: 50% battery in just half an hour. So yes, you’ll have time to juice it up while you’re making your morning coffee. Pricing starts at $999 for 256GB and climbs to $1,399 if you’re the type who insists on 1TB of storage for memes, playlists, and endless photos of your dog.

If you’re not into “Air,” there’s the iPhone 17 lineup: the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The regular 17 comes in five fun colours, because life’s too short for boring phones. The Pro models, though, are where the magic happens. A tri-lens camera system with a 16x zoom and dual-capture video is basically Apple saying, “Why carry a professional camera when we’ve got you covered?” Add in improved durability and a stronger battery, and suddenly your phone feels less like a device and more like a personal content studio. Prices range from $799 to $1,999, depending on which size and storage you go for.

On your wrist, the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3 are more than just fancy step counters. Series 11 is slimmer, smarter, and finally delivers a full 24-hour battery life. It also supports 5G, meaning you can leave your phone behind on your next walk, workout, or errand run and still stay connected. Want more? The Ultra 3 is built for those who like to push limits, with satellite communication to keep you in touch even when you’re off-grid. Yes, it’s designed for explorers, but it’s also just reassuring if you’re someone who constantly loses signal in your own apartment. Prices start at $399 for the Series 11 and around $799–$899 for the Ultra 3, depending on the band.

And then there are the AirPods Pro 3, which might just be the most practical update of the lot. They still deliver noise cancellation so you can zone out on your commute or tune into podcasts while folding laundry. But the real flex is live translation. Imagine chatting to your neighbour, colleague, or barista in another language – and actually keeping up. No app juggling, no awkward guessing, just smooth conversation fed straight into your ears. At $249, they’re basically little interpreters that also play your hype playlist.

Of course, Apple loves a good accessory moment, and this year’s extras are sneaky game-changers. The new MagSafe battery for iPhone Air gives you an extra 65% of charge without turning your pocket into a mini-oven ($99). And the crossbody phone strap is one of those things you’ll roll your eyes at—until you realise how convenient it is to go hands-free while carrying groceries, juggling kids, or just scrolling on the go ($59).

If you’re fishing for a fun school holiday activity that’s equal parts entertaining and educational, Sea Life Sydney has just launched something that’s sure to make a splash. Introducing Sea Scan app – the world’s first real-time marine species recognition app – designed to turn your day at the aquarium into an interactive underwater adventure. Think of it as Pokemon Go, but with penguins, sharks, and jellyfish instead of Pikachu.

Here’s how it works: download the app (it’s free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play), then head to Sea Life Sydney where the kids can swim straight into the action. As you wander through the exhibits, simply point your phone at a creature gliding past. Within seconds, the app recognises the animal, adds it to your digital “Aquadex,” and shares a sea-riously fun fact or two. With 154 animals to discover, from rays to rockpool dwellers, there’s plenty to keep curious minds engaged all day long.

But, the fun doesn’t stop at scanning. Every find contributes to your child’s growing Aquadex collection, and the app offers quizzes, conservation challenges, and mini quests to complete. It’s the kind of learning-through-play experience that makes kids feel like mini marine biologists, while parents can sit back, relax, and quietly enjoy the fact that education is happening without a hint of boredom.

Home to more than 4,000 animals across 300 species, Sealife Sydney needs little introduction when it comes to school holidays. And, for years it has been a place where you can stroll through the famous Ocean Tunnel as sharks glide overhead, meet Pig the cheeky dugong, or giggle at the penguins waddling around in their icy habitat. Adding the Sea Scan app into the mix takes the visit to the next level – transforming it into an ocean-sized treasure hunt that keeps kids focused and entertained from start to finish.

Parents will love the fact that it encourages kids to engage with what they’re seeing, rather than just snapping a quick photo and moving on. It gives them a goal, a challenge, and a reason to dive a little deeper into the world beneath the waves. And if you’ve got more than one child in tow, prepare yourself – the race to see who can complete more of the Aquadex first can get just as lively as a school of fish darting through a reef.

What’s also refreshing is that Sea Scan isn’t just about ticking boxes. The app gently weaves in important messages about ocean conservation and sustainability, sparking conversations about why it’s so important to protect our seas. It’s subtle, but powerful – the kind of holiday takeaway that lingers long after the kids have picked out a plush stingray or seahorse from the gift shop.

And here’s the reel catch: while there’s no way you’ll scan all 154 animals in one visit, that just means you’ve got the perfect excuse to come back. Each trip becomes a new opportunity to net a few more species and build on your child’s growing collection. Consider it the ultimate way to keep kids hooked (pun absolutely intended).

So, if your school holiday checklist includes something memorable, educational, and fun for the whole family, Sea Life Sydney and the new Sea Scan app have you covered. It’s free to download, simple to use, and adds a whole extra layer of discovery to an already magical day.

Download Sea Scan now from the App Store or Google Play, book your tickets to Sea Life Sydney, and get ready to Scan, Learn, and Play your way through the holidays. Your kids will be totally krilled with the experience.
